I bought a house and the previous owners were one of the worst people who seemed to think cleaning and maintenance were overrated. There are sunshades on the windows and I live in the desert. The screens were covered in dust, as were the windows and frames. I tried different options. High-pressure cleaner with twilight cleaning. Just a washing machine. Simply screen magic without cleaning. Pressure washer with cleaning and screen magic etc. The best way I've found is with a pressure washer or at least using a hose. Then wait for it to dry. Then use Screen Magic with a microfiber cloth. You don't have to rub hard for the product to spread evenly. You can also use this method to save the use of all screen magic. I bought a spray bottle and then poured in a gallon. I probably wouldn't need as many if the screens weren't so dirty. A month after use, the screens still look good. When they get dusty again I just spray some screen magic onto the fabric and work it over. FYI, during the first cleaning I removed the screens and cleaned both sides, but as I said, they were dirty.
