Updated Review in the *s*On my last boat trip, there was high wind and rough seas and I got pretty soaked while wearing this. I hung this up to dry out until doing the next load of wash. Within a day, even hung up, the entire garage smelled like moldy animal. This is the single most absorbent piece of material I have ever seen. It holds so much water it would not dry out. I prewashed this by hand to get the smell out before putting it in with a bunch of towels. I weighed this thing when wet. It held over 30 pounds of water. Yes 30 pounds. For what this is marketed for as an outdoor active wear type thing it is not practical. A great comfy house cape, but I will not use this for activities anymore*I use this after scuba diving on dive boats. Cold water and hot air. Usually donning when I'm at least partially wet. It is super super soft. Works best when not in heavy sea spray. It does prevent light mist well. It is warm - but breezy enough where it feels nice. Bottom opening is nice and big, easy to change even for a big guy and move around in. A top would be more difficult to change while wearing.The hood and kangaroo pocket are great features.
