When you see how many reels you get for this price ($6.99 as of 10/14/2021) you will think you died and gone washi heaven! I was excited. But when you start looking closer, some oddities start to appear. First, they are super thin washi. This is what I use to trim the pots I make so I love the size. The first thing that struck me was that on the vast majority of the rolls you couldn't see the pattern as the color pattern was only a fraction of the width of the roll and the width of the entire roll was tiny. If you look at my second photo, there are only two roles, but each of them has an uncolored tape underside, and although you can see that the colored part has a pattern, you can't tell as most of it is missing. It happened in TEN rolls. I actually took out my old lady's magnifying glass to try and see what the pattern was supposed to be, but most of the time I couldn't. I'm guessing these are the cut ends of a wider roll, or a machine cut them wrong and misaligned, or something. I went back to this site and looked closely at the seller photos and they don't show a half of the colour/design and the other half is not printed but as I said I have dozens of them. The next thing I noticed was that the size/diameter of the cores varied. In photo 3 I tried To show them that there is no consistency in them. Not in the size of the core or the amount of tape wrapped on each core. There are smaller nuclei, as on the left, and the larger ones on the right. Not only are the cores different, the amount of tape on each core also varies. Some had, say, 1/2 inch tape, others maybe 1/16 inch tape. While it's all annoying, that doesn't necessarily mean I can't use them for myself.
