Absolutely perfect!

I've been using various infusions for about 10 years. They all had small holes and never really conveyed my taste. They usually stop the brewing process near the end, resulting in over-saturation and over-extraction of the coffee grounds. I've tried different filters and even increased the grind to the coarsest, but they still stop at the end of the brew. I decided to give these drops a try and have made about 14 batches so far. I immediately noticed the difference in taste and every cup was perfect. I was able to get the grind back to the right level and the flow rate was just what I needed. Now that I roast my own beans, I needed something to make my work stand out. I also want to take the time to address some of the issues that people with low ratings are having in the hope that this will help. 1 - Broken filters. If the filter breaks, it simply means you are using the wrong filter. The seller mentions the type of filter they use and after the purchase I even got an email from them recommending the right type of filter. There are filters made specifically for these large orifice drippers. They're all over Revane, so they're not that hard to find. I've included a picture of what they look like. 2 - Weak coffee. It could also be the wrong filter, but it's most likely the wrong coffee to water ratio. Almost every good coffee shop uses a large-bore dripper, so it certainly won't make a weak coffee. The Specialty Coffee Association recommends a ratio of 55 grams of coffee to 1 liter of water. To expand on this, you get 13.75 grams of coffee per 250mL of water (about an 8-ounce cup), 22 grams of coffee per 400mL of water (about a 14-ounce cup), or 27.5 grams of coffee per 500 ml of water (about one cup per 17 ounces). It's always best to weigh out a portion of the beans and grind them just before brewing. There are also small digital scales throughout Revain. I hope this helps you with your next great mug.
