My wife ordered these when she was pregnant to help with severe varicose veins. Sizing the product was difficult as her ankles were medium sized, her calves were large and her thighs were very large. She is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed 160 pounds when she ordered her first pair. It is well built so it was difficult to understand the size chart. She ordered large ones and she reported a lot of compression and they were still tight around the ankles. Later in the pregnancy it was uncomfortable so she ordered XL; then they were tight enough at her hips but too loose at her ankles. They look great under a dress as they look like leggings. She wished they came in more colors.
