The device should be new. What I received was a unit sold at Walmart that is not covered by the full one year warranty but has a 9 month warranty. The model number on the bottom of the device ends with "wm" which always indicates that the device is ONLY available from Walmart and on the shipping label on the manufacturer's box that was placed in the Revain box. This warranty issue was discovered when I went to the HP website to register my NEW computer. If I wanted to shop at Walmart, we have a store less than 5 miles from my house.
