DON'T TAKE TIME TO UNWIND. I wish it was on a plastic roll but 5 stars anyway, the price of the lights is good. The remote control works fine, just make sure the IR is showing for communication (in the picture it's a 2-tailed plug. One end for electrical connection, the other IR for long-distance communication). Need a line of sight! but the cardboard unrolling and 165 foot length is a problem halfway through IF IF it starts to slip and tangle. I had to unfold and unwind, untie the knot, unfold. It's durable which is a big plus. I fluffed it up and it was comfortable and it held. Be careful if it bends as it is copper. where it can crease as it may break the crease area. not that it happened, but it might. but it's pretty hard
