In general, the dress is good. I bought it for a public theater performance in which I will be performing. I think this dress would be great for a similar use or a costume party. It would be unsuitable for other official events due to its quality and scope. All in all the fit is ok again. I'm 5'5", 155 lbs and ordered a large. The material has stretch. My concern is that the dress is VERY long. Even with a 4" heel, the dress falls to the floor - the slit is VERY high. I was afraid to order a very large size thinking the waist might be too loose but maybe the extra fabric would fall where the slit met. On the other hand, the dress could then be too long. I'm not sure about the balance. I have short legs for my height, maybe that's the problem. The lining *only* covers my butt. Again maybe I should have bought a very large size but I feel like the bodice of the dress fits me the way I want it to. I'm still looking for a matching strapless bra. I'm sure there is one out there. It's not in my closet right now XD
