Nice little (literally) phono stage.

Worked great right out of the box. Connecting a Grado XF3E cartridge to a Lepai 2020ti amplifier. I tested the unit's frequency response (see attached chart) and found it to be a little lacking in both low and high frequencies compared to the RIAA accent-cancellation specification, but that's not bad for the price ($12.98). US as "Warehouse Special". It's very quiet - I'm running it from a 2020ti 12v switching power supply "Wall Wart" via a "Y" coax power splitter - running it from a 9v battery didn't change anything. Its design smoothes out the bass below 20Hz to provide some 'rumble' filtering; my previous low frequency preamp (Velleman 2573) didn't do this and the hum from the turntable (the solid Rega Planar 3 base) was quite noticeable .I like it, in combination with the Lepai amplifier it gives a great sound.
