First of all: IT PASSED THE BURN TEST! This is real silk! I very carefully pulled the thread out of the handkerchief with a needle, carefully pulled it out and lit with a candle: powdery ash, smelled like burnt hair and stopped burning when I took it out of the flame. I'M VERY PLEASED! This scarf is almost too small at 27 x 27 to cover all my hair and although I have thick hair it is p. short at the moment - so keep that in mind if you buy it to wrap your tresses at night. However, I can use it as a wrap, although I had to try a few different ways of tying it to get all my hair tangled. I also wear it as a headband during the day and it's very cute! I knew size could be an issue when I bought it, so don't lose stars: just wanted to mention it. The scarf itself is beautiful - the red is bright and beautiful, the pattern is gorgeous and the scarf has a lovely silky sheen to it. Only on one side because of the weaving, but that doesn't bother me. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
