So let me set the context. My last hair clipper was almost 15 years old when I replaced it with this one. No, "zero" is not set perfectly. But I'm amazed at how sharp, smooth and quiet they are! The plastic shields are "more pliable" plastic than I would have liked (had to change the beard because 1/4 of the shield gave under the chin). But overall I'm very impressed for the money. Typically, a beard and haircut costs me $45 about once a month. It's worth it.
