My 2.5 year old daughter is too young to play alone so we play together. And I can see how this Tetris puzzle helps to develop fine motor and problem solving skills. I like the fact that there is more than one unique solution that allows parts to be perfectly matched. In a way, it also helps to get a sense of the "global optimization" issues for this time. This product also features some templates that you can craft from the pieces, but we're definitely more Tetris lovers. I think this is the best STEM toy I've bought for this price. Its material seems very durable and thick enough for us to play for a long time. I think it's age-appropriate that even a 2.5-year-old child can play with an "encouraging" adult. :)
