I ordered one of the black devices to test and was impressed by the quality and the price. The coating is tactile, not slippery. So I ordered three more. The first was for my fly tying bench, the second was for my vest, the third was for my wood shop and the fourth was for my bathroom. I like to store my flies loose in compartmentalized, waterproof boxes so the flies don't get crushed like they do when you put them in boxes with foam slots, spring rings, clips and so on. These boxes crush the feathers and spoil the flies over time. In my opinion, free range is what you need. Pictured is a block I drilled out to hang on my vest. Use some oil and reduce the speed of the drill. No problem. I love her.
