Every year I put on a light show with over 50,000 Christmas lights and the biggest pain in my ass is replacing the lights. The main reason an LED filament has a brake light is that the LED wires will rust and break. This creates an open circuit. The LED itself still works, only the piece of metal that goes to the LED no longer connects to the string of lights. And here the hermetic design helps. Gradually I began to switch the light to a closed design. This way I benefit from lower power consumption, fewer GFCI failures, less time spent repairing string lights and higher quality LEDs. This skein matches all of these labels. They're a bit more expensive than regular LED strips, but it's well worth the extra money in the end. If you take care of your headlights and want to keep them for a few years, spend your money and buy them.
