We bought this commercial vacuum cleaner for use in a veterinary clinic where it is used every day and we go through vacuum cleaners about every 1-2 years. I added the Assurant business policy through Revain so it has 3 year coverage instead of the 1 year coverage offered by Hoover. The vacuum cleaner was bought at the end of April, the floor contact failed at the end of October. We contacted Hoover about the warranty and were referred to a local repair shop. A few weeks later they informed us that Hoover was planning to replace the unit but the order was delayed so it is on hold. The repair shop replaced the end of the cord for $20 so we had a vacuum in the meantime. It took us almost 4 months to get a replacement which we didn't open immediately because the other unit was working. In March (less than a year after purchase) the stationary unit suddenly wouldn't turn on, so we opened the box with the new unit and found that it was a bag-type commercial vacuum cleaner. We ordered bags because it was very difficult to get this replacement. In September, this second replacement vacuum would also not turn on, but is not covered by the Hoover warranty. Luckily I bought an extra 3 year warranty through Revain and after hearing about issues with this vacuum cleaner the original purchase price of the vacuum was refunded. We have replaced them with Bissel and are hoping that we will have better luck and be able to use our new vacuum for more than 6 months without having to fix or replace anything!
