To adjust the height: 1) Insert a large tube through the base from below. 2) Insert the smaller tube on top with the smooth side (smaller tube). Difficult to slide into a large pipe so that it stays at the correct height. I struggled until I realized I wasn't going through the bottom of the base. I pasted it upside down.
