I used this on my cartilage; I'm not sure if you call mine helix or something because it's a bit lower, mostly in the middle of my ear. He was incredibly cute and the perfect size. I had it in a short time. This thing doesn't stay stuck. I should have lost it the first few days, but miraculously it kept reappearing (in my bed, on the floor, in the shower). Unfortunately I was on a recent trip where it fell out and got lost - for real this time. For the price I think it should have snapped in and stayed clamped. I think I wore quite a bit of it for a couple of weeks. ):
