Review on Harrisville Designs Traditional Potholder Potholders: Timeless Kitchen Accessories by Brian Dildine

Very happy with the quality in all respects :)

There was a crappy plastic loom with no name, traditional size, from some craft store. It broke many years ago, I pulled out about 4 thumbtacks when it broke on a cast so I have never replaced it with a better product until now. Half of the vintage potholders I've made on an old loom are short lived after heavy daily use so I decided to try this one as it had good reviews. I'm super, super happy! First, it's a metal loom, not plastic. For the price, this is a really tough, sturdy little loom. I've already made two new pot holders with it and it's been a dream - I didn't feel like anything was going to bend or break in the cast. Looking forward to making more than 4 this time! I also left them a rundown of their voluminous bows. This kit already comes with a bag of loops in different colors, but I bought a few more bags in bulk in solid colors. I think it helps that the hinges are made by the same company so there is no question about tension or size, I really think their hinges are very high quality too, just to say it. I also liked that this set included a booklet with pattern design ideas - very helpful! In general, I only use materials from this company for my pot holders - they are real! Friends have a lot to do this year :-) Hooray!
