Recently installed on my Suzuki DR-Z 400. Wiring is simple, the left grip had to be tapped out with a hammer and block of wood even after it was reamed. . The right hand grip fits snugly against the gas tube but not tight enough to prevent it from moving. There's superglue for that. I fitted mine with a relay so they automatically turn off when the engine is not running. That made the installation a bit more difficult, but if you connect it directly to the battery it will be very easy. The wire is long enough for almost any installation, but you may have to find a place to plug it. This is also an issue with heated oxford grips which I have used in the past. Today I used them for the first time and found that they work just as well as oxfords. I started on its highest setting, after about 15 minutes I had to turn it down to 4, then 3. The right seems slightly warmer than the left, possibly due to heat loss from the handlebars. No significant problem. The only other issue I had was that there was no space on the handlebars to mount the controller. This was easily overcome by making one that mounted on a transom bolt. There are a few issues when comparing them to Oxfords. First, Oxfords come in a longer version, which I like better. That's fine, but a little more length is more comfortable if you have big hands. That's why I gave them 4 stars for comfort. Secondly, the setup is almost identical except that the Oxfords are now recommended to be wired directly to the battery and they seem to have some sort of circuitry that detects when the engine is not running, avoiding the almost inevitable drain on the battery when leaving them activated . My last few oxfords didn't have this feature so I can't tell how it works. Relays eliminate this problem, as does connecting to a switched power supply. Third, their price is half that of Oxfords. I had to try them because of the price difference. I honestly don't see any performance difference. So far they seem to be a great product and I would recommend them.
