I saw in the reviews that someone was comparing the Dyson cordless vacuum to this vacuum and being a Dyson fan I decided to give it a try. Big mistake! This vacuum cleaner loses suction power (max.) after 5-7 minutes. This is a joke! My Dyson V10 pet suction power is amazing. I vacuum for about 20-30 minutes. The beastly V10 is a bit heavier than the V10 Cyclonic Dyson, but both are amazing. The brush on the Samsung stops rotating after 5 minutes at maximum power. I have carpet at home because my GSD dogs have trouble walking and standing on hardwood floors, tile, or linoleum. When Dyson released the first vacuum cleaner, I bought the purple one. Animal Ball and I fell in love with him. Before Dyson, I had tried every vacuum recommended for pet owners and all of them let me down by not getting the job done after a few months. I had 2 German Shepherds, one white and one black and tan. They shed a lot, especially in spring and summer, so they often had to vacuum 2-3 times a day. Dyson has always been my ONLY vacuum cleaner brand that never disappoints and always gets the job done. I have to say whenever a new Dyson came out I had to update it. The wireless ones are my favorite and since my house has always had more than one level I left one on the ground floor, one in my huge finished basement and one upstairs where the bedrooms are. So I always have it on hand when I need it. I am the proud owner of 4 Dyson cordless vacuums. and 3 vertical. I have one in the garage on the wall and use it to vacuum cars. My V7 is in the garage. I have to say I bought it when they released the V11 Torque but it's too heavy on top so I returned it. I currently like them all, but my favorite is the V10 Cyclonic. I am returning this Samsung and I refuse to waste time on it. By the way, it was more expensive than the Dyson I've bought in the past. I used promotions or codes so I never had to pay full price for the Dyson. It's obvious that people love them because many stores don't carry them online or in stores. By the way, I also tried Shark. I'm not a fan. I'll just stick with Dyson, yes they may be more expensive than others but they are worth the money because they do the job!
