The CD is encoded for stereo output only, you cannot use it to check the phase of the surround channels or the center channel in a home theater setup. I had to connect each individual surround channel (one at a time) to my front left channel to individually check speaker phase, then reconnect the surround speaker to the appropriate jack on the back of the receiver. I also used track #4 to test phase, the phase receiver mic needs to be very close to the speaker to work accurately. If your speakers have connectors, keep the mic away from them or you will get false negative readings as you are reading the waves from the back of the speaker cone.
