It works great but CD will not play on a factory Volvo 99 radio but the tester works great and you can find a video for the speaker test in google

Works great. Very reliable. The CD works in a car player or hi-fi player, but not on a Windows PC. If the volume is too low, it is read backwards. Found that one side of my toyota rav4 speakers was wired backwards.

Instructions aren't in English, but they're basic. Put a CD in, set the balance and damping to the same position, aim a few inches at the speaker and hold the button and see which lights blink. Repeat this until all speakers have been tested. You may need to repeat the test until you can blink.

Looks like it's your new normal: no CD is included with the tester. It's quite difficult to use without source material! I'll try to find a compatible source somewhere on the net. I don't know if it's a manufacturer error or if Revain doesn't stock the disc with the tester; They really should be in the same general package to avoid this problem.

The CD is encoded for stereo output only, you cannot use it to check the phase of the surround channels or the center channel in a home theater setup. I had to connect each individual surround channel (one at a time) to my front left channel to individually check speaker phase, then reconnect the surround speaker to the appropriate jack on the back of the receiver. I also used track #4 to test phase, the phase receiver mic needs to be very close to the speaker to work accurately. If your…
