This is the first pneumatic nailer I've bought and I was pleasantly surprised Energy . Reviews that criticize various nail guns for uneven nailing often cite hardwoods like oak as particularly problematic. I've tested this on oak baguette ingredients as well as 3/4 inch oak boards. It drives nails perfectly even into 3/4" thick oak. While I simultaneously hold the gun firmly against the material, it drives the nails to a very constant depth. Depth adjusters I have the oak bar and 3/4" oak with a very nailed to the 2x4 pieces at an even and accurate depth. I'm just a handyman but this looks like a very professional quality tool.
