The backpack is very sturdy, the flight attendant told me it's too big but I told her it can be made smaller if needed (I was planning to add a net extension use because the main cage if needed and only fold part of the backpack but that wasn't necessary) just make sure you sit either in the middle row or by the window as those are wider.
