Just what I needed - battery chargers

I have several Battery Tender chargers, but I also have several batteries that I need to keep charging. I was looking for a particularly energy-saving charger and decided on this model for a number of reasons. First, it's capable of delivering close to four amps in bulk charge mode. The maximum current of the My Battery Tender charger is half an ampere. This charger will be much more useful for my higher power purposes. It also features a charge mode for sealed lead-acid (SLA) gel batteries. I have a few of these that I use when traveling to power things like lights and fans. They work great due to their small size and capacity, but a traditional lead-acid battery charger is not suitable and can cause problems. I have a Tenergy charger that I use, but it's a lot more work than just pressing a button on this charger. I have an old car battery that hasn't been turned in for Core charging but isn't in the best condition, so I used it to test the charger before trying it on something I care about. It brought the battery to a full charge of about ten volts in less than 24 hours and then automatically went into service mode. It's very good and just what I need. This would be ideal for fully charging my jeep's battery before a trip if I have a fridge installed (which the Battery Tender charger can't do). Speaking of which, if I have one complaint about this charger, it's that it doesn't use a standard SAE connector. I knew this was happening and I'm making an adapter, but it's still a bit annoying.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Hard to say
