Very happy with this lens on Nikon D750 and D810. I mainly use this lens for fashion, product and portrait photography. I auto-calibrated the lens using a Reikan FoCal Pro 2 and Tamron's TAP-in-Dock. Needless to say, it's as sharp as it gets. The VC is fantastic and the auto focus is very fast and accurate on my D750 and D810. I didn't see any significant chromatic aberrations or color fringing. I rented a Nikon 105mm macro for comparison (also calibrated with a Reikan FoCal Pro 2) and found my Tamron to be a bit sharper and focussed a bit faster than the Nikon. Firmware update for their new line SP 90 Macro, 85mm, 45mm and 35mm from 4 months ago. Again, you will need a TAP-in dock to install this update. If I remember correctly, the firmware improves the speed of VC and AF. Tamron Tap-In Console for Nikon, Black is $60 on Revain so it's not a problem. After 4 months of use I have no cons or regrets, 90 is just superb for food, fashion, beauty, groceries and portrait work. . Allow additional time in Photoshop to fix dust and blemishes in product photos and heal/clone blemishes in portraits. The amount of detail this lens captures is horrendous. My next lens purchase will be a Tamron 45mm.
