Review on 🎙️ Tascam DR-05X Portable Handheld Digital Recorder and USB Audio Interface, DR-05X by Mario Haan

Great product. I have used Tascam products in the past but wanted a handheld recorder for my music projects and for writing simple songs. I am very happy with the sound quality of this recorder and the ease of use. It handled my garage band at full volume with ease, and I also like the "overdub" feature (which lets you quickly record an idea and then dub the bits over the original). In fact, you can create a full-fledged "multitrack" demo right on the device. Very cool! Some things struck me as a bit strange... You should definitely look at the manual to understand how to put it in overlay mode (I downloaded the manual from the site to find it electronically), but as soon as You got it, in this mode it's very easy to layer tracks on top of each other. I also found it strange that it didn't come with a USB cable since the device can be used as a USB interface, but I had an old cell phone cable lying around and it worked fine. In the picture I use this with the Audacity software (free download). Overall I am very happy with this recorder for what I use it for.
