Review on KOHLER K 97623 SHP Choreograph Floating Polished by Jathan Louis

These solid metal shelves are beautiful and heavy. I read the reviews before purchasing and installing so I looked for plastic tabs on the spikes which caused installation difficulties. When I shipped them in the box I was able to fit the small round mounting brackets into the clips on the back of the shelf with the plastic tabs intact fairly easily, so I figured the design issue should be solved. During installation, I had a second person mark the mounting brackets while I held the shelf level. The glue held the brackets well and the shelf slipped off easily. I thought everything was going great! The recommended 1/8" pilot hole seemed a little small to me, so I also drilled a slightly larger relief hole. I used the screws that came with the product and they went in easily, but I couldn't get a perfect lock, the screw heads were sticking out a bit. This made assembly of the shelf backs very difficult. I could see that the head of the screw was causing the problem so I filed it down just enough for the shelf to sit properly. It was still tight, needed a support pad , use a block of wood and a hammer to get the shelves fully in place, I'm not sure I'll ever want to try to pull them off so I was a bit upset about it, it won't be that easy, the back to clean.As a result, the shelf looks nice and I'm very happy with the look.
