UPDATED REVIEW: UGREEN read my original review and sent me a replacement cable. The new cable has all four analog pins like a DVI-I cable and works as expected on my 1680x1050 VGA monitor. I originally ordered it because I needed a little longer than the standard 5 foot cables that come with most monitors and this cable doesn't seem to suffer from the image quality due to its 10 foot length which makes it a lot easier To place monitors next to your computer instead of on your desk. If you want a 10ft cable it's cheap and does the job but quality control doesn't seem very strict, although I suspect it might be the case I'm just very unlucky. The company seems quite willing to replace defective products. INITIAL REVIEW: This is advertised as a DVI-I VGA cable. The cable I received was either a DVI-I with all four analog pins cut off making it a DVI-D cable, or was originally built as a DVI-D cable. I don't know what's wrong, but a DVI-D-VGA cable is literally impossible. VGA is an analog signal and DVI-D has no analog outputs, so this cable could literally never work, even in theory, let alone in practice. The cable I received looked like 2 analog pins were broken off and the other 2 just never installed. I just noticed when I connected it to my graphics card's DVI output and an additional monitor's VGA input. No signal! Tested the monitor with another shorter cable, works fine. What? When I looked at the connector and realized it had no analog pins. These pins are clearly visible in the photos of the product and the product is described as DVI-I (meaning it contains these four pins) but is not. And now I have to go through the ridiculous hassle of sending back a $10 cable to get a refund. Will not buy from UGREEN again. to get a refund. Will not buy from UGREEN again. to get a refund. Will no longer buy from UGREEN.
