Review on 🌿 Tacobear 20-inch Artificial Plastic Green Aquarium Fish Tank Underwater Plant - Lifelike Aquatic Plants by Tammy Finucci

Not safe for a filled tank

So, like all artificial plants, I soaked and rinsed them in another bucket for several weeks before placing them in the tank. The last rinse and there didn't seem to be any smell so I figured they had been sitting in a separate bucket long enough so I tried adding them to my main tank. I was wrong. Damn, almost killed my whole tank. In less than an hour my goldfish became lethargic, shallow breathing, bottomed out and had real problems. I pulled the plant out as it was a new product and did 3 partial and one massive water changes last night and another today to try to get rid of what was in the water. I had a very healthy aquarium and now I'm just trying to fix things. My fish is starting to respond now, eating more, retreating and swimming in the upper water column, but I'll still be fighting this because of the overcast, so be aware the water is still not coming up. If you are thinking of adding these plants to your tank, do NOT put them in an established tank no matter how long you clean/flush them. I feel terrible I let my fish go through this injury. Make sure to put them in a new tank and swirl them around to soak up the cloud and test them with forage fish before trying the net, or just transfer them all together. I do not think this product will return to my aquarium. I'm not sure how long it would take to remove everything unsafe on it, but it's not worth the risk to my aquarium and the joy/health I've had with it for years.
