I ordered this item to protect my thumb and forefinger when cross stitching which I do a lot so I needed something to help me with the needle stitch. I am an adult woman of very average height; I am not obese and do not suffer from swollen fingers or knuckles. But even the largest of them, the size of a thumb, is too close; it breaks the circuit after a minute or so. At first I tried trimming the excess from the bottom for a more comfortable fit, but that didn't help. I then tried making a tiny slit in the side to ease the tension but it only rips all the way to the top so that didn't help either. I ended up having to switch to another brand to get the ones that fit just right without cutting off circulation or being so big that they don't stay.
