Unfortunately this device is of rather poor quality. It stopped working for me after the first use. Luckily I was able to fix it myself after realizing that the hand holding the magnet was not correctly positioned on the blue part. Because the electromagnet (black/yellow part) reversed polarity, the hand didn't move back and forth far enough to apply enough pressure. Bend it to the left - LITTLE; without even touching the magnet - it started to create more pressure and carbonate my beer. I also moved the diaphragm a bit on the bottom of the pump to create a little more pressure. If you understand how an electromagnet works and have a screwdriver, everything can be done by hand. The pump lever is made of aluminum and does not require pliers to bend it.
