We've hidden a robot hoover under our chopping block and a smart speaker above it. It all boiled down to an unsightly adapter-plug-cable-power situation. I know, the epitome of a first world problem, but I was just sick of it. I stumbled upon this option and then hesitated for about a month to pull the trigger because 1) let's face it, it's a pretty expensive extension cord option and 2) no one in the family was remotely bothered by unsightly cords. However, after much internal bickering, I finally broke down and "indulged" in one of each size for the two most visible dirty areas of the cord. Could have used a few more, but I'm not planning on buying them simply for the cost of what could be a luxurious, if unassuming, power strip. However, there are no regrets here. I took another reviewer's advice and removed the faceplate from the outlet so it was closer to the wall. I sanded the surface of the nest with fine sandpaper and painted it the same color as our wall. It worked great and I did the same with our switch plate. It is neither invisible nor perfect... but it is so harmonious that I no longer regard this area with contempt. I think it's good that self-adhesive cable covers are included. But the 3 foot cord (shown) only came with 5 or 6 very short caps, about 1 inch each. Instead of using a shorter chain I stole these longer ones from the package that came with the 9 inch cable.
