I recently moved into another rental home that does not have exhaust fans in both the guest and master bathrooms. The lease is very clear that I am not allowed to make such an upgrade, so I offered to pay the full amount to have the company install them in each of them at my expense. Unfortunately the owner declined my request. Said the small window in each of the bathrooms provided adequate ventilation. The best and safest alternative I chose was to buy this fan and put it by the window. When I need ventilation due to smells or steam, I open the window in the shower stall and put this fan in the window. Since these are 12 volt batteries, this is a safe solution. This creates enough airflow that you can feel the air either under the door or in the door frame when the door is half open. No more stench! No more steam!
