The tourniquet is tight. Pulled it out almost immediately due to the pain it was causing. It offers tight compression at the ankle and is crew length to look more normal with shorts - both of which I wanted. However, the pressure transition between the ankle and the upper edge of the sock is not sufficiently graduated, which makes it very uncomfortable in the middle of the calf. This may be fine for a person in good shape, but for a person who previously had DVT and is now developing varicose veins, it was very painful. I have arthritis in my ankle and the sock felt supported there.
