I feel frames are always an overpriced item but these do give you good value considering. They are rustic solid wood (not veneer) which was perfect for my needs (these groovy maps by Tribal Nations Maps). I doubt they are actually recycled barn wood but who knows.I bet they just "distress" the wood to make it look old. Made in China. Size of 8.5 x 11 is accurate. Clips look like they will hold. Paperboard is not super thick but it works. I ordered two sets: the clips were different on the back but the frames the same. Glass not plexiglass. Nice touch: have a black ribbon to hold the stand in place (which is thin enough it wouldn't last long on its own I guess). One set also came with a tiny cloth and two white pins.not sure what the pins are for but the cloth is a nice thought. Sides are ribbed. I'd recommend them if you want a rustic look.
