Lemons for (Liz) A lemon was a lemon! No stretch, leg and shoulder openings are too tight

We bought five different costumes for kittens after sterilization to avoid the cone of shame. It's associated with the worst (no pun intended). I liked the lemons design because a kitten was named (Liz) Lemon after Tina Fey's character, but this fabric doesn't stretch so the leg holes were too small and seemed to dig into the legs uncomfortably. The shoulder area around the neck was too narrow, although the back length was ok. Kitty is slim and therefore best suited for narrow shoulders. The edges of the fabric are raw, not hemmed, so I wonder if they will tear over time. The straps seem like a good idea for an adjustable fit to prevent the legs from slipping off like some other suits, but they didn't work in practice. I tied the nearest tail crosswise in two rows to keep the legs from slipping out. The straps that were too long formed large loops/knots that bothered the cat so much that it would crouch around like a drunk and occasionally stumble around to scrape the knotted loops. Good entertainment value until I felt sorry for her.

Pros
  • ๐Ÿ‹ HIGH ELASTIC COTTON FABRIC --- Our cat rescue suit is made of cotton and spandex. Soft, lightweight, breathable and stretchy. Tight fit and comfortable to wear. Does not restrict pet's activity when carried. Can be washed in a washing machine.
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
