Review on πŸ’¨ Godting 1 Box Fan, Gray: Powerful Cooling in a Sleek Design by Elizabeth Gagnon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

In a 20x20 room at a height, the air moves. no louder than any other box fan at this speed.

At this price point, don't expect all the engineering required to design a quiet fan that moves so much air at the highest of the three speeds. At both low speeds, the fan is quite quiet. Most rooms don't require high speed. In a large living room the size of a two-car garage at an elevation (low, medium, high) you'll be aware of air movement, but if you want the wind blowing on you, it's not you. From where I'm now sitting at the table with bare feet, fan running high, 2 feet down the hallway, 18 feet from me, I can feel the air gently moving around my legs as it sweeps air down the hallway pulls. It's a bit noisy. and the fan blades are slightly unbalanced. This is no comparison to a $165 off-the-shelf fan that moves the same CF of air at low frequencies as it does at high frequencies. This shouldn't be. This $34 fan does the job perfectly. Steel cabinet. Switch on above. Pretty long cable. Well built. Much better than the $16 version sold at Lowes and H/Depot. I started buying good quality stove air filters by gluing them to these box fans. They work pretty well as air filters. I'm sure not as good as a real HEPA filter. However, it is possible to see particles trapped in the filter with a surface area of 20x20. If you want to run at high speed all the time and are allergic to noise, spend the extra money and buy a fan with an upgraded design. If you're annoyed by the noise, you're sitting right next to it at altitude, which is comparable to an airplane on a runway. In most situations, at medium speed, the noise is acceptable for this amount of air being moved. Low would be good in the bedroom at night. I am very pleased with this fan and the seller's offering at Revain.
