Although this device is tiny, it has a good sound. That's enough for pumping tunes from a smartphone or tablet. The sound will fill a small room. The base performance is weak. Putting it against a wall will create a resonator effect that reinforces the base. There is a prominent button to toggle between indoor and outdoor use. Why? Because sound amplification is welcome outdoors. I bought two devices because they can be connected with the cables that come with them. You cannot assign them as left or right channel. I use a block in my van because it's missing a blue tooth. I connect the device to the input jack on the dashboard. Between the car radio combined with the device, you will be shocked! The Bluetooth communication range is at least 25 feet. Objects in the way will reduce the signal and the connection will be lost. The battery will drain you if you wait for it to die! I've given up measuring playtime against hours. At $60 per unit I think it's a great value!
