The stitched edge came off the mat fairly quickly

We really like these mats but after about 4 or 5 months the piping started to separate from both mats. We don't have heavy traffic and there were only two of us so we were surprised. We've had the same brand of rugs replaced with this one for many years, but that hasn't happened. So it's just lemons I guess. These tears are in the same places on both mats, on both sides of each mat. Apparently not very well made. Disappointing. This review is dedicated to small rugs. The other one we bought at the same time, 1.8x6, is still intact.
