Careful unpacking. Use only in summer.
Be careful when untangling. I find it best to unravel them completely and then feed them into a mason jar. Otherwise, they will retain their spiral nature and not take up all of the space in the jar. Also, make sure the lid is tight on the jar to prevent rainwater from getting inside. I also recommend bringing them indoors during the winter months. According to Luther, a white film begins to form on the upper part, which stops the battery from charging. However, after a few years, don't expect it to work as well, even if you replace the batteries with new ones.
