Nothing special here. On a 2012 Ford Fusion, the power cable barely ran from the driver's side battery under the hood to the passenger's side trunk amp. If you have something longer or an SUV, forget it. The hole on the negative cable ring terminal was SMALL, like a small sheet metal screw. I had to drill it out to use the existing 10mm ground stud. Also, the fuse holder is just a basic maxi fuse, but that's fine as it means it's easy to find a replacement. Even though it's a 4-channel kit, it only comes with two 2-channel RCA pairs of the same color, so you'll need to test their continuity once you've started to see which is which. Inexpensive, especially for an 8 GA, but might be worth spending the extra $$$ on something nicer.
