Review on The Hillman Group 230006 Lag Screws by Michael Boyce

This review is for the 1/4” x 1-1/4” model. These screws fit the needs of my project. I did not notice any inconsistency in the work. This box is 100 more than I need, but the quality of the hardware at the Orange Box Store has dropped badly, so I figured these Hillman screws would be the best choice. I'll probably use some of the extras in the future. Due to the lack of markings on the screw head, these are probably class 2 screws. Google for more information on screw classes. A note on the photo on Revain that goes with the box and Hillman website. The photos show that about a quarter of the screw is unthreaded, which is not true. For all practical purposes, this is a fully threaded screw. See my attached photos. The 1/4" x 1-1/4" size is relatively short for a lag bolt, so it may not be suitable if you want heavy duty and fewer threads.
