Review on πŸ”§ Discover Eastvolt's EVBS01 Sanding Clamps - A Game-changer for Effortless Sanding! by Joseph Stone

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Universal compact belt grinder with 20 additional belts

Very good hand belt grinder. Small enough to travel with and the motor is pretty powerful. 6 speeds from fairly slow to faster than I expected and it's easy to adjust the speed as you use it. You can also mount it on a workbench with the included table clamp. It's not the best quality, but it works and holds the tool in place well enough to use on the edges and ends of your pieces of wood. The belts are easy to change and 3 x 18 sanding belts are available from Revain in a variety of grits so you're not limited to just the 20 belts supplied. A strap is pre-installed but you have to tighten the knob or the strap will slowly come loose as I found when I first used it. I tightened the knob but you really have to tighten it or it may slip off even at low speeds. Once adjusted, the belt never moved sideways and was actually a very reliable sanding tool for wooden boards. I have already used it to prepare parquet floors to be repainted and the sanded surface is smooth and easy to work with. The grinder is double-sided and can be used by both left- and right-handed users on the front handle. There is a trigger lock which is of course useful when attached to a table but is also useful when sanding large areas. A quick pull of the trigger shuts off the motor quickly. The outlet attaches to the included cloth bag, but can also be connected to a vacuum cleaner hose, or you can fit something into a 5-gallon bucket for vacuuming sawdust. As it's more of a portable device I'm happy with the dust bag for now and it's easy to empty and reattach. The pouch is held in place with a rubber band and the plastic mount simply snaps into place and won't fall out, even with all the vibrations from the grinder. The plastic and rubber handles used in this grinder are of high quality and much nicer. than I expected at this price. The power cord is thick and durable, and for casual use on home projects or for an intermediate level wood enthusiast, this was a good tool. If someone put a branded label on this device, I wouldn't disagree. No offense to Eastvolt as I have used some of the other tools they sell and have been quite happy with their gear.
