Overall, I don't like paying $$$ for a bear bag - yes, I'm VERY familiar with other options, but still. - but this bag did its job against forest animals. We're not in grizzly country, we're in black bear country and we haven't seen a bear hit the sack yet. It would make sense for the bag to be a lighter color (so it doesn't retain heat from the sun for perishables like bug spray) and be usable, but it should be clear that the company no longer makes white bags. Note: Make sure wherever you go what type of container you need, as some areas require a bear container and not a bear bag. Happy trails!
