Our recently remodeled kitchen included a black Kohler Executive Chef sink. Like any sink, it will scratch over time. With your standard white or almond shell, this is not a problem. Scratches are not particularly visible. My beautiful black sink has scratches! So I bought a large and a small OXO kitchen sink mat and I couldn't be happier. The rugs matched my two sinks perfectly. There are many soft rubber feet on the underside and the edges are also padded. The feet raise the mat about half an inch to allow water and liquids to flow right through. The mats are strong and flexible enough, I'm not worried about heavier pots and pans breaking them. In short, they work very well for what they were designed for. I think they will last and they look beautiful!
