On the plus side it's nice and compact. The ability to use built-in lights is also useful. Then again, this is clearly not 30x zoom on a large lens. More importantly, it has two smaller lenses that flip the image vertically. and the holes are so small that it is almost impossible to see anything through them. Thus, it is not clear whether or not they deliver the claimed 60x and 90x magnification. (It's very hard to track something when the image is reversed. I had a very hard time keeping the lens over what I wanted to enlarge because every move I made was reversed.) Along with the reverse Image when using these lenses, which Magnifier follows, keep image close enough to the subject that the subject is not actually illuminated. After all, high-magnification apertures are practically useless. As a compact magnifier (30x lens only) with built-in light. maybe it's not that bad. However, the functionality of all features is lacking, which is the reason for my 2-star rating.
