Review on πŸ“Ή Canon DC310 DVD Camcorder with Extended 37x Optical Zoom (Discontinued by Canon) by Shawn Xayamonty

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Trouble closing disc and some confusing features

Pros:-1) Price is cheap for a DVD camcorder2) Outdoor video quality3) Optical zoom Cons:-1) Menu is very confusing.2) You can't finalize unless you connect the camera to the power adapter. You won't know unless you read the instructions carefully. 3) You cannot charge the camera when the power switch is on. So let's say you are using the camera and it turns off due to lack of power. You plug it into the power adapter, it won't charge. This is because the power button is still on. I had this problem and had a hard time finding the cause. I even took my camera to Canon for repair and they returned it and said you have to keep the power switch off while charging or it won't charge. 4) Finally, there are many disc finalization issues. The Finalize menu item is not displayed in recording mode. It is in order. But I burned my disc in VR mode and now I see the Finalize menu item but it cannot be selected. I do not know why. I can't finalize my disc and it won't play on my DVD player. When I see the contents of the DVD, it contains VRO format files. To convert it to DVD format I need software that will cost me money. And that's when I decided to write this review.
