I thought they were more like a crystal, but they are more like a colored ball. The curved part is too long. Every time I just bumped my nose, it would pierce the inside of my nose and cause bleeding. Having said that I took the wire cutters and cut off the curved part and now they seem fine and a lot more comfortable.
