I bought 2 of these mainly because of the name and rating. I have other Irwin tools and they seem to be of good quality. I do NOT recommend buying them. The first pair I tried to cut with 12 gauge copper wire and the rim of the torch snapped off. It can still be used, but the blade now has a notch. The second pair doesn't cut the wire insulation very well. The jaws tend to separate and wrap around the wire rather than cutting through the insulation. It also gets the job done, but not as neatly as other wire strippers I own. Based on my experience with these two, I would think twice before buying anything from Irwin.
